Q: Is there a warranty on the Silence HP dryers?

A: Brilliant Products offers a lifetime warranty on the motor, one year on all other parts. All service is performed in Goodyear, Arizona within 72 hours of receipt. A $20.00 Guarantee Handling Fee is charged if service is necessary after 90 days of ownership or up to one year. Any unit over one year old can be completely refurbished for a service fee of $30.00. If for any reason a motor should fail, it will be replaced at no charge. When returning your dryer for service, please include your email address (so we may email the UPS tracking number to you) as well as your name, phone number and business address.

Q: Does the Silence HP dry as fast as a regular turbo dryer?

A: In most styling situations a stylist is able to dry short, medium, and even longer hair at a rate comparable when using a much louder turbo dryer. The Silence HP has ONE rate of airflow which is very direct due to the elliptical shape of the nozzle. A stylist is able to work section by section without disturbing hair that has already been styled. If a stylist is drying very long, very heavy hair, and only drying without regard to styling the hair, the narrow air pattern may require more drying time. Many stylists have said they actually work faster in some instances when using the Silence HP because they do not have to turn the dryer off to hear questions from clients or others.

Q: Does the black rubber grip act as a noise muffler?

A: No! This is a comfort grip. Stylist who prefer to hold the dryer by the nozzle may find it more comfortable to do so by placing the grip around the nozzle.

Q: Will a diffuser fit on the Silence HP?

A: Any sock diffuser or many plastic diffusers with an adjustable spring grip will fit the Silence HP.

Q: What is the wattage of the Silence HP?

A: Silence HP typically uses 2/3 less energy than conventional turbo dryers. The special Silence HP brushless motor is not rated like a conventional AC or DC dryer motor. Silence HP has two heat settings designed to produce the same heat output as most conventional 1200 W/1650 W dryers.The #1 setting is equivalent to 1200 W of heat output while using just 322 Watts of electricity, the #2 setting is equivalent to 1650 watts of heat using just 585 watts of electricity. When the cool shot is engaged, only 38 watts of electricity is used. (Measurements may vary slightly depending on your electrical grid.)

Q: How do I tell if a dryer is Ionic?

A: The only way to determine if a dryer is ionic (i.e, generates negative ions) is to test the output with an ion meter. Unfortunately, there are no regulations to determine what levels of negative ions need to be generated to qualify a dryer as ionic. In our research, we tested dryers that claimed to be "ionic" and actually registered no ionic P.P.C.C. (parts per cubic centimeter). Presently our industry standard appears to be below 20 P.P.C.C. The Silence HP Ionic measured 920 P.P.C.C. on the low heat (#1) setting and 1090 P.P.C.C. on the high heat (#2) setting.

Q: How heavy is the Silence HP?

A: It is comparable in weight to most European made dryers, about 22 ounces.

Q: Does the Silence HP fit in a dryer station cutout?

A: Yes, if the opening measures at least 2-1/2" in diameter. If not, use the hanging loop conveniently located at the bottom of the handle. We strongly recommend that you do NOT wrap the cord around the dryer for storage. This can weaken the cord and cause the copper wires to break.

Q: Does the Silence HP have a cold shot?

A: Yes, it is the push pad located near the top screw hole on the handle. Cold air is instant. Simply hold the push pad down for as long as you want cold air.

Q: Where is the Silence HP made?

A: While America continues to lose jobs to off-shore manufacturing, Brilliant Products remains the ONLY U.S.A. Made Eco-Friendly Hairdryer.

Q: Is it necessary to remove and clean a filter?

A: Air is drawn into the dryer housing through the side vents. It is important to keep these vents clean.  A color brush, which is included with purchase, can be used as a cleaning tool to remove all lint and dust. We recommend cleaning the vents on a weekly basis. There are no filters to remove.

Q: How quickly do you ship your orders?

A: We usually can ship the same day we receive an order providing we get it before 2 PM Mountain Time. We believe in GPS-Great Personal Service! and make every attempt to satisfy our customers by going the “extra mile!”

Q: What is your return policy?

A: We offer a 30 day trial period from date of purchase. If you are not satisfied, you may return your purchase by contacting us at 800-522-4512 to confirm the return address. Please follow these simple guidelines:

    1. Include a copy of your invoice & method of payment. We will refund the purchase price of the merchandise only, we do not reimburse shipping charges. If your purchase was made during a free shipping promotion, we will deduct shipping costs from the purchase price at the time the refund is processed.
    2. Pack the dryer in its original box. Remove the comfort grip from the nozzle so that the dryer may be properly repackaged with the cardboard insert. Include these 3 items: Comfort Grip, Cleaning Brush & Air Concentrator with the dryer in the Silence HP box.
    3. Repackaged dryer must be returned in a secure shipping carton with adequate packing material to prevent damage during shipment. Brilliant Product is unable to issue a credit or refund for a shipment that is damaged or lost on its way back to us so we recommend that you ship via UPS or insured Parcel Post.
    4. No returns accepted 30 days after invoice date. A restocking fee will be assessed on any return improperly packaged or incomplete return.
